Privacy
You decide who sees what.
This page describes how MBN treats your information. It is written to match what the platform actually does.
You control your contact details
Every mobile number, phone number, WhatsApp number, email address and street address on your business profile has its own visibility setting:
- Public – anyone visiting your profile, including search engines.
- Connections only – only businesses you have accepted as connections.
- Private – only you.
New contact details start as Private. MBN never widens a setting for you. Your GSTIN is used for verification and is private unless you explicitly choose to show it.
What is public
Your business name, description, categories, products, services, brands, city and area, business hours, public photos and videos, published articles, and questions and answers you have made public.
What is never public
The mobile number or email address you sign in with, contact details you marked Private or Connections only, your list of connections, private questions, verification documents and the numbers on them, and anything in the admin records.
Sharing your profile
Share messages and QR codes contain your business name, category, city and the link to your profile. They never contain a phone number, an email address or a street address.
Signing in
You sign in with a one-time code. The code is never stored – only a one-way hash of it – it expires in ten minutes and it works once. Sessions are kept in a secure cookie that scripts cannot read.
Analytics
MBN counts events such as profile views, searches and shares as daily totals. These counts hold no IP address, no account and no cookie: they cannot be traced to a visitor.
Verification
Documents you upload for verification are seen only by MBN staff who review them. The public sees the resulting badge, never the document or its number.
